(Sokkla oneshot, that revolves around the idea if Sokka were raised by sea dwelling water tribes.)
“There, all finished.” Proudly stated the servent girl. “You look stunning, your highness.”
Azula turned and swam to the nearest mirror to look for herself if she looked good or not. Azula froze, almost unable to recognise the woman in the mirrior looking back at her. She looked almost nothing like herself, the only thing that really resembled her was her facial features, the complection of her skin, the color of her hair and the color of her golden eyes. Yet everything else looked different. She wore a black long skirt with a long slit running up her thigh, the skirt had gold trim and a few blue designs. She wore a top that resembled what she once used to wear when she visited Ember island. The top had a see through sleeve like fabric that ran from her shoulders to her wrists which were adorned with silver and gold bracelets. Thats when Azula looked at something she deffinitly knew made her look different, the tribal designs on her forearms that resembled both flames and waves, similiar designs she knew she had on the top half of her back and shoulders. Azula looked at her face, and admitted even her face looked different, espesially when the hair of her ponytail would sway in different places due to being underwater. When Azula began examining every last detail about her look once more, the servent girl spoke once more. “His royal highness will be unable to control himself when he see’s you. I bet you he will be left gaping at your beauty.” Azula gave a small smile, and by instinct reached her hand to her neck where a gold choker sat, she grazed the small black sun shaped pendant that hanged from it’s link. This neckalace, in Azula’s opinion, is the most beautiful peace she wore, a gift specialy made for her. “Do you really think so?” Azula asked, for some reason she felt unsure.
“Well, allow me to be the first to confirm her quote.” Azula smiled widened slightly, but she did not dare turn to face him. “Your excused, Sorna.”
The servent girl bowed. “By your leave, king Sokka.” She said before swimming out of Azula’s chambers. Azula still didn’t turn to look at Sokka, not even as she felt him approach her from behind and wrap his arms around her midsection. “You look beautiful,” Azula closed her eyes as she felt him whisper the words to her and plant soft kisses on her neck. “But…” Azula opened her eyes and felt how Sokka began to turn her to face him. “Somethings missing.” He stated as he examined her fully. Azula raised a brow, as Sokka turned to one of her cabnits where a box sat. Sokka opened the box to reveal a golden crown. Azula blinked, surprised. She became even more so when Sokka returned to her with the crown in hand. He placed the crown upon her and stood back to look at her. “There, now you truly look like a queen.” Sokka stated with a smile.
Azula turned to look at herself once more in the mirror and her mouth fell open slightly. Now she truly looked different. “Why would you do this?” She asked turning to look at Sokka with questioning eyes. Sokka simply contiued to smile. “Why not?” He replied as he neared her. “You deserve it, and whats a queen without a crown?” Azula looked up at him as he was only inches away. “I’ll tell what she is.” Sokka pecked her nose. “Your brother.” Azula couldn’t help the chuckle at the joke, but she soon regained her composure and gently pulled Sokka down so her lips could connect with his. When they seperated, Sokka chuckled. “So, can I assume you liked the gift?” Azula smiled. “I loved it.” She gave him another quick kiss before stepping back to look at him and frown. Sokka raised a brow. “Is something wrong?”
“Your joking, right?” Azula looked up at him with a raised brow. “What kind of king wears… that?” Azula nearly spat, motioning to what Sokka was wearing.
“What’s wrong with what i’m wearing?” Sokka asked, feeling slightly selfconsious.
“You look like you literally just came off the street.” Azula replied.
Sokka thought about that for a moment before replying. “But… we’re underwater.”
“And yet you still manage to look as if you just came out of a cave in the Earth kingdom.” Azula replied. “If you think I’m going to allow you to go to my brothers wedding looking like that, you are sorely mistaken.”
“Ok, ok. I’ll go and change.” Sokka stated, throwing his arms up in the air before turning and exiting.
Azula rolled her eyes, sometimes she wonders how and why she fell for that idiot. Azula turned to her door when she heard it open abruptly. “OH, I almost forgot something.” Sokka stated as he rushed to her.
“And what would tha-” Azula was cut off when she felt Sokka’s lips crash into hers. For a moment she was surprised but soon regained composure and kissed Sokka back. She smiled into the kiss and felt a bit dissapointed when they sepparated. Sokka smiled. “By your leave, my queen, my sun, and my love.” Sokka whispered and planted one last quick kiss on her nose before leaving.
Azula stood there in place, a smile still on her. “Thats why.” Azula whispered, answering her own question from earlier.
