Chapter 10 – Joy
It was soothing, to let his emotions out in this way. He was safe from judging eyes and gossiping mouths. It was just him, the sky, and all of his painful memories.
He didn’t know how long he sat there, crying. He might have stayed even longer, if it weren’t for the sound of light footsteps behind him. He froze in his spot, not daring to look over his shoulder to see who was there. He could only think of a few options, and each sounded terrible to him,
It could be a guard, or a servant, he supposed. The thought rather embarrassed him, since he was supposed to be a manly Water Tribe Warrior, and what not. He considered the other possibility. Surely, it couldn’t be. The universe did not hate him that much, right?
“…Sokka?”
Wrong. The universe seemed to hate him very much.

Chapter 9 – Ignore
He dropped onto his bed and stared at the dark red wall before him. He closed his eyes. It was exhausting, being so sad. Losing Azula wouldn’t have been so bad if it hadn’t happened so quickly and abruptly. He didn’t even entirely understand the whole thing. It had been good one moment, and then it was bad the very next. If only he could just understand why she felt the way she did. Then he might begin to heal. But she refused to be in the same room as him, let alone see him.
Sokka felt like he was beginning to drown and he was so tired that he wasn’t sure he’d be able to swim to the surface.

I mean, I always hope that I will have one out within a decent amount of time, but I only think that I have done that one time, so I’ll think I’ll stop lying to the both of us haha. But I do have the next 6 or so chapter planned, so there is that at least! Any how, I hope you guys enjoy Chapter 8. It made me sad writing it, but in a good way! It’s a bit of an emotional chapter. AN: Chapter 2 is out! So, I wanted to clarify with you guys again about some of my choices when writing this. I wanted to write a story that involved Sokkla (obviously), but I also wanted Zuko to have a very big part too. As I was drafting this, my plan was to have Zuko and Azula hate each other, as per usual. But I dunno, I kind of liked the idea of them having an actual sibling relationship. I think a big part of why Zuko and Azula had such a sour relationship in the show is because they were both very devoted to one specific parent, and were often ended up pitted against each other. In this story, both of their parents are very distant, which I think brought them closer.
Anyways, I just wanted to make that known to anyone who thought it was weird that Zuko and Azula are close. I just wanted to try something different. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy this chapter!
