Sharing is Caring — Chapter I

otpruinedmylife:

“This is ridiculous! Why do I have to share a room with this moron?” Azula questioned as she pointed her incriminating finger towards Sokka. “I am female and he is male! There is only one bed, too! I refuse to move from my bed for this imbecile.”

“I second that. You expect me to deal with her all day and night without wanting to jump off the roof?”

Azula rolled her eyes. “Please do.”

“You two are the only people in this Academy who do not have roommates. Because your room has been scheduled for renovations, you will have to move into Sokka’s room effective immediately.”

“You cannot be serious!” The both of them said in unison.

“My bed is small! You expect me to share it with her?!”

Azula’s cheeks were painted with a scarlet blush. His wording made it seem as if the both of them would sleep in the same bed.

“D-Don’t be so full of yourself, you peasant! I would never share a bed with you!”

“Th-That’s not what I meant, you – Ugh!” Sokka wanted to scratch his eyes out. There was no one on this campus more argumentative, combative, and bossy than Azula. She was just so stubborn. It was either her way or no way. She’d, in fact, light your path on fire so you are forced to go her way.

“Why can’t she go into someone else’s room and cause them misery?”

“Being that everyone is paired except you two, Azula being in another paired room would create a fire hazard because three people cannot be in one dorm room.”

“Fire hazard? If you force me into that idiot’s room, I’ll burn the entire dormitory down! That’s a real fire hazard.”

“Young lady, I would advise you to control your explosive temper. You will follow my orders. If you do not, I will personally write in your record this incident of insubordination. That is also terms for dismissal from this prestigious academy.”

Of all the times to feel smug, Sokka was ecstatic to witness an authority figure putting Azula in her place. He wished he could secretly record Azula’s going from explosive to intensely silent. Internally, he was laughing uncontrollably.

Azula, with much prior protest, banged on Sokka’s door, “Hurry up and open the door,” she yelled from the other side of the locked door.

“Breathe, Sokka. This is only temporary,” Sokka mumbled to himself. The second he opened the door, he was met with Azula throwing her large suitcase towards him.

“You can put that in my room,” Azula added confidently as she strode inside. She analyzed her surroundings carefully, noticing how Sokka’s dorm room was relatively smaller than hers. She was bound to be cramped with him for what seemed like forever.

“Your room?! No. That’s my room, and you are sure as hell not sleeping in my bed,” Sokka kicked the door closed and placed Azula’s suitcase down on the tiny living room floor.

“What? You expect me, a lady, to sleep on the sofa while you sleep comfortably in a bed? Chivalry certainly isn’t dead with you,” She replied sarcastically. Azula continued to walk towards her new bedroom with a smirk on her face.

Of course she could just push him around. Sokka grumbled under his breath as he followed Azula to her new room and held onto her massive suitcase that was seemingly filled with bricks instead of clothes he hypothesized. Azula was just bullying him around and he couldn’t do anything about it. That was going to change. In fact, he was already planning his sweet retribution.

“Hey! Hurry up and get out,” Azula banged on the bathroom door. That was her “thing,” apparently.

Sokka attempted to say, “I’m brushing my teeth,” but all that seemed to come out was gibberish.

“Did you forget that I’m still behind the door?!” She yelled and started to bang on the door even harder when Sokka didn’t open the door.

Sokka stopped brushing his teeth, washed his mouth, and angrily opened the door and walked out. “Finally,” Azula called out exasperatedly.

That was the last straw. He was done. “You litt-” Sokka stopped as the door immediately closed and the water was drawn. He couldn’t give Azula a taste of his wrath.

Sokka was prepared to go to sleep. Only one day was done and he was ready to literally kick Azula out of his dorm room. And, throw that suitcase filled with bricks down the flight of stairs, too.

An exasperated sigh of mixed tension and relief escaped his lips. He tugged at the band holding his wolf’s tail together and let his hair naturally cascade down. That was when he felt as if someone was staring.

“What,” he asked with confusion as to why Azula was blushing and staring at him with fixation.

“Sh-Shut up!”

Azula turned her heels and retired into her room with a slam of her door.

“Idiot,” Azula uttered under her breath. Azula was feeling butterflies in her stomach at the sight of Sokka letting his hair down, and she had to get that out of her head.

She pulled the dark blue blanket off of the bed and gracefully laid on Sokka’s comfortable mattress. “It smells so good,” she quietly thought to herself.

That was when she remembered Sokka making a verbal mistake about sharing a bed together. Azula didn’t mind. He probably smelled delightful…

Her combined interest with Sokka’s luscious locks cascading down his face and her interest in his delectable scent made the butterflies return to Azula’s stomach along with a crimson blush at the mesmerizing thought of sharing a bed with Sokka…

{Instead of actually going to sleep, I decided to write something that just popped in my head. I am so not going to wake up early tomorrow for work. I don’t even mind, though. It was actually kind of entertaining. Oh, yeah, Sokkla arguments always have some underlying sexual tension. It’s great. I actually hope you guys like this, though. Normally, I plan this out. I wrote this on the fly, too. It was a sudden inspiration. }
