High School Shojo AU!

seyaryminamoto:

Another surprise for the day, another story I had yet to write out 😀 but here goes! Sokka and Azula as if in a shojo anime! ^w^

She kept to the
same routine every morning. She would eat her breakfast, prepare her lunch and
set out to school dutifully, her bag slung over her shoulder. Her hair would
have been brushed to perfection, her uniform perfectly clean and ironed. She
had to be the very image of perfection indeed, for her station allowed no
slacking off. If she didn’t set the example, the other students wouldn’t
follow.

As she took the
corner that would lead her to the main street she smirked. Her routine had been
the same today, for the most part, yet she had made sure to be out of the house
just slightly earlier than usual. He wasn’t getting her today, no, he wasn’t

She let out a sigh
of satisfaction upon finding that his tall frame was nowhere to be seen. Just
perfect. She had no time to waste fuming over him today, most definitely. She
was the picture of perfection, and she wasn’t going to let that moron cross
that street just before the traffic light changed today

But her ploy was
doomed to utter failure, despite her careful planning.

Before she could
register what was happening, she felt someone racing past her, panting softly
as he rushed through the street. Her eyes widened when she realized what was
happening. He turned around, still running, but now backwards, as he smirked at
her with pure mischief.

“Sorry, but I’ve
been winning for a month now, I’m not letting that change anytime soon!” he
called out at her, chuckling as he saw the look of disbelieving rage on the
girl’s face.

“You
!” she
growled, as he turned again and raced to cross the street. She gritted her
teeth, holding back the urge to run after him
only to find that, when she
reached the border of the sidewalk, the green light for pedestrians shifted to
red.

She couldn’t help
but glare at him as he started walking again, and he turned to see her fuming.
He chuckled and waved at her before taking off one more, a happy spring in his
pace.

“That accursed
fool,” she growled, shaking her head as she glared after his shrinking figure.
She hated to be conscious of how cute his foolish smile was

His mouth stretched into a horrified grimace as he watched her make her way towards the Earth Kingdom diplomat, but he could do nothing but wait and pray that nothing bad would happen.

Sadly, judging by the increasingly displeased look on the man’s face, things had not gone over well.

In a flash he darted forward, dismissing the man as quickly as he could while still being polite, before turning to the woman.

“Azula, I love, admire and cherish you, I truly do. You have so many incredible talents. But please never look, speak or interact with anyone ever again.”

The ashes were cold, littering the ground like grey snow.

Sokka sighed, casting his gaze around the ruined house. There was nothing left but the faint smell of smoke and despair. He had been too late once more.

Or perhaps Azula had never been here at all.

As he turned to leave, a faint glint caught his eye. Nestled on the ground amongst the debris was a small golden object.

He bent down, brushing the soot away to find a headpiece in the shape of a writhing flame. It was hers, no doubt about it.

The hunt was on again.
